Do you want to grow food but are not sure where to start? Do you have a garden but need advice on a specific topic?

Maybe you have ambitions to create a food forest?

I can help with any gardening matter big or small.

I'll visit your garden, we'll discuss your questions, desires and ideas.

A standard consult for 1.5 hours is $150 or $120 concession.

We'll discuss how sun, wind, rain and human movement interact with your garden. We'll consider your dreams and ambitions and potential next steps.

Plant health

Do your plants look unhealthy? Are they suffering from pest and disease? We'll investigate possible causes and discuss ecosystem solutions to help them thrive.

We'll have a look at your soil and talk about how you are tending it? I'll suggest easy ways to improve soil health, recycle organic matter and create nutient dense soil.

Fruit trees

Do you need help choosing or maintaining trees? I can explain and demonstrate pruning so it's easy to understand.

Water considerations

Whether it's understanding the water needs of different plants, DIY grey water, or automatic irrigation, we can find a solution.

Gardening techniques

Do you have questions about companion planting, crop rotation, seasonality, propagation and harvesting?

FAQs

How much are your fees?

$100/hr or $80 concession (plus travel fees).

How long is a consultation?

A standard consult is 1.5hrs, however it's best to discuss your needs as we made need longer or shorter.

What are your travel fees?

If I can't ride to your place I charge a travel fee of 78c per kilometer (ATO recommendation)

Where are you based?

Pascoe Vale, Wurundjeri country, Kulin nation

Do you provide advice for rural properties, community gardens and businesses?

Yes, no matter what the context, food can be grown and I can help. I provide free advice for community spaces.

Can you provide a permaculture or landscape design?

I can provide simple sketches of what we discuss for $50/sketch. These can be a useful starting point. However, gardens are living, evolving spaces that change as they grow and people spend time in them. My role is to support you to create the right conditions for a garden to flourish and to learn to see gardens as living spaces which have a mind of their own, rather than to control or dominate the space.

Can you transform the garden for us?

I can support you to transform your garden, including by working alongside you. Ultimately, my role is to help you learn how to garden. I will garden with you, and support you in whatever way I can. I can help you to link into networks or organise working bees, to get community together to transform spaces.
